Hogle Zoo's Discovery Land Docents are seeking volunteers to work with the group's summer education programs.

The volunteers will receive training in April where they will learn to work with small animals such as parrots, tortoises, ferrets and Monty the Python. They will also be trained to answer questions about how young chicks are hatched in an incubator, the inner workings of a beehive and display a 60-pound elephant tusk.Volunteers must be 17 or older and be able to participate at the zoo at least one morning and one afternoon each week during the summer.
