The Utah Museum of Natural History and Salt Lake Community Education are offering two short courses for adults, one on plants and another on the Anasazi Indians of Utah.

W. Richard Hildreth, director of the State Arboretum, will instruct a workshop on "Gardening with Native Plants" on April 8. He will discuss selection, sources and nurturing of decorative plants from the natural environment. The course fee is $10.The "Utah Prehistory Series: The Anasazi" will meet Monday nights from April 10 through May 1. Nancy Shearin, teaching assistant at the University of Utah's Department of Anthropology, will cover archaeological methods and knowledge about the Anasazi of 1,000 years ago. The course fee is $25.
