The Alpine School District is inviting the public to review a part of the textbook curriculum that is being considered for adoption this year.
District residents can review and give their views on elementary language arts books now under consideration. The books will be available for public scrutiny from 1 to 5 p.m. April 3-4 in the Harrington Teacher Center, 50 N. Center St.
All textbooks used in Alpine classrooms are put on public display first, said Sharon Beck, director of curriculum and staff development for the district.
"We want the public to become acquainted with the textbooks we use in the Alpine School District," she said. "This is the public's opportunity to have a say in the district's course of study."
