The Great Salt Lake Council, Boy Scouts of America, is looking for old collector items - scouting uniforms, patches, pins, neckerchiefs, handbooks, scouting coins and other memorabilia.

Donated items will be used for a Scout Memorabilia Auction and Sale, that will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 8 in the council's new Training Center at Camp Tracy in Millcreek Canyon.Proceeds from the sale will be used for a warehouse for training equipment used at the council's Travis Training Center, located at the East Fork of the Bear River Scout Reservation in Summit County, said Gary Adams, council public relations director.

Adams said donated items may be delivered between 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at council offices, 525 Foothill Blvd. More information is available by calling Kim Hansen, director of support services, at 582-3663.

Those who donate $50 worth of items will receive one of 500 special issues of an El-Ku-Ta lodge flap with a winter scene.
