An investigation continued Tuesday into the death of a young woman whose body was discovered on an isolated rural road.

A troop of Boy Scouts Friday morning found the body one-half mile off the road between Fairfield and Simpson Springs. The woman, who has been determined to be between 18 and 35 years old, had died of gunshot wounds. It has not been determined whether the woman was killed at the scene.Tooele County sheriff's detectives said the woman was wearing white pants, a white blouse and white shoes. She had blond hair, was about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighed 120 pounds.
