A Ohio man has waived an extradition hearing and will be returned to his home state where he is wanted for questioning in a homicide, Iron County Attorney Scott Burns said Friday.

Clayton Gadd, 31, Youngstown, Ohio, has been held without bond since his arrest March 16. Gadd also is suspected of parole violation in Ohio, Burns said."We're just waiting for Ohio officials to come and pick him up, possibly this weekend," Burns said.

Utah investigators declined to discuss the homicide investigation in the Youngstown area, but they said the parole violation involved assault and kidnapping charges.

Gadd was arrested on I-80 near Cedar City, about 250 miles southwest of Salt Lake, while talking to the owners of a disabled motor home.

A Utah Highway Patrol trooper stopped to see if he could help the tourists in the motor home and ran a routine license check on both vehicles. Gadd's station wagon was listed on a national wanted bulletin, the trooper said.
