The Brigham Awards will be presented March 28 during the 1989 student forum assembly at Brigham Young University, commonly known as the "Unforum."

The assembly, which begins at 11 a.m. in the Marriott Center, will honor six to 10 students and faculty members who were nominated for their service, leadership and optimism. As with each Unforum, the program will be presented with both humor and seriousness. This year's assembly will take a lighthearted look at the way things are done on campus.

Coordinator Lisa Arvon said the assembly is the students' chance to put on their own forum and reminisce about the past year.

The Brigham Awards are 10-inch statues of Brigham Young that will be given to BYU students, faculty, administrators or staff members who have been nominated and chosen for doing "heroic, courageous, courteous or interesting acts worthy of note."
