A passenger accused of assaulting a Trans World Airlines flight attendant and forcing the craft to make an unscheduled landing at the Salt Lake International Airport has been indicted.

The one-count Utah federal grand jury indictment against Robert Keith Orton, Florissant, Mo., charges him with assaulting, intimidating or threatening flight crew members and flight attendants.Prosecutors said the March 30, 1988, flight from San Francisco to St. Louis, Mo., made an unscheduled landing in Salt Lake City, where Orton was removed from the aircraft.
