Bertelle Bagley, of Salt Lake City, has been named local interviewer for the new American Family Companion Program sponsored by the American Institute for Foreign Study.
The program will recruit high school graduates to provide live-in child care for families in Boston, New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Miami and San Francisco.In return for their work, the young people will receive room, board, a minimum of $125 per week. They can also enroll in college courses paid for in part by the host families.
Upon completion of a year with the program, the young people will get a free trip to Europe worth $1,000.
