Vivian Schipper Anderson, a leader in the anti-pornography movement, has been awarded the Community Service Award by the Utah Association of Women.
Anderson, a mother of five, grandmother of 19, is assistant director of Citizens for Decency. The association member has also been involved in other pro-family issues, such as abortion, sex education, teenage pregnancy and the Equal Rights Amendment."She has been a super crusader through the years in the fight against pornography," said Emma B. Harris, who presented the award. "She has a keen mind, and is loyal, dependable, cheerful and witty. And she is always available when someone needs help!"
Anderson, a graduate of Brigham Young University, is the wife of Belmont F. Anderson.
