A Roy pharmacist entered a guilty plea Tuesday to a felony charge of issuing a false prescription.
H. John March, 36, was scheduled to stand trial Tuesday, but changed his plea after the Davis County Attorney's office agreed to drop two felony charges against him. March was charged there with two counts of distributing a controlled substance.March, owner of U & I Pharmacy in Roy, is scheduled for sentencing April 28 before 2nd District Judge Ronald O. Hyde.
The defendant is also scheduled to appear for a March 28 hearing before the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing, when the division may revoke his license. The division is alleging against March that 12 times he distributed controlled substances without a prescription or with a forged prescription.
