ABC is restoring the television series "Moonlighting" to its schedule after a four-week hiatus, but the program is moving to Sunday, according to a network statement.

The next episode of "Moonlighting" is scheduled for broadcast at 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, said the statement issued Friday by Capital Cities-ABC Television Network Group. The comedy was suspended Feb. 28 because last summer's strike by Hollywood script writers led to a shortage of scripts and left the argumentative characters, Maddie Hayes and David Addison, without a word to say, executive producer Jay Daniel said.

"The rumor of our death is greatly exaggerated," Daniels said at the time.

However, "Moonlighting" had fallen in the ratings in its fourth season and was being beaten regularly on Tuesday night's by NBC's "In the Heat of the Night."
