The entertainment division at Lagoon is looking for enthusiastic musicians to perform in the the Lagoon All-Star Band this summer. The band consists of 27 of the area's most talented high school and college-age marching band musicians.

They'll march and play for up to 1 million guests during the 1989 Lagoon-Pioneer Village season.Auditions will be held on Saturday at the Lagoon Opera House at the following times: trumpets, 9 a.m.; trombones, 10 a.m.; mellophones, 11 a.m.; tubas, 12:30 p.m.; saxophones, 1:30 p.m.; and percussion at 2:30 p.m.

Tubas and percussion instruments will be provided.

Auditioners should prepare a short solo or etude of their own choice. Rehearsals will begin April 6. All positions are paid. Richard Lambert will be musical director, with Rodney Wayman as drum major.

The Lagoon season runs May 27-Sept. 4.
