A 21-year-old man who killed his parents is inheriting their estate worth more than $160,000 after a court ruled he had been temporarily insane, a court official said Friday.
The official said the man, who cannot be identified under Swedish press regulations, would get almost $50,000 in life insurance in addition to the family home, two cars and corporate investments. The court official spoke on condition of anonymity. The man from Ystad in southern Sweden acknowleged that he beat his parents to death on Sept. 15. The district court ruled he had committed the killings but could not be held responsible for his actions.
