American Fork police will not file charges in the death of a Lehi boy struck by a car last Friday, a police official says.
Issiac Thornton, age 5, was crossing Main Street at 120 West at 6:54 p.m. when he bolted from the median. A car driven by Kent Robinson, 52, American Fork, struck the boy."Robinson was only going 15-20 mph, but there wasn't time to stop," American Fork Police Lt. Terry Fox said Wednesday. "There is no indication of wrongdoing. We don't expect to file any charges."
The child was flown to a Salt Lake hospital where he was declared dead.
