Salt Lake police have arrested a 17-year-old boy in the February armed robbery of an east-side restaurant in which employees were handcuffed and held at gunpoint.

A teenager and his companion entered the Ponderosa, 2085 E. 21st South, at 11:55 p.m. on Feb. 11, according to police reports. The two held guns on employees during the robbery in which $4,000 was taken, police reports said.A shotgun was found in Butterfield Canyon and turned over to the Salt Lake County sheriff's office, and a print was found on the weapon, police report said.

The youth was booked into juvenile detention for investigation of armed robbery.
