Police are investigating as suspicious the death of a woman who was found frozen in her back yard by her husband Sunday.
Ella Jean Hudspeth, 58, 3689 S. 4780 West, was discovered behind a 6-foot partition fence in the family's back yard while her husband and son were doing yard work, according to a West Valley police report. The woman has been missing since January when she disappeared while her husband was out of town on a business trip.
Officers have questioned several people and are trying to determine whether Hudspeth's death was a suicide or whether she was the victim of foul play. Hudspeth apparently cleaned out her desk at work on Jan. 9 and left a two-page letter there that described her dissatisfaction with the job.
Freezing temperatures helped preserve the body, which aided the medical examiner's autopsy, the report said.
