Four people died in Utah automobile accidents over the weekend.

Dead:Ella Pope, 75, West Valley City.

Dustin Downward, 2, West Jordan.

O. Nyle Thornock, 33, Clearfield.

Soka Aliu, 33, Salt Lake City.

Pope died from injuries suffered in an accident at 47th West and 47th South about 2:27 p.m. Saturday.

Dustin Downward died Sunday at Primary Children's Medical Center from injuries he suffered in a three-car accident Saturday at 3510 W. 62nd South.

Thornock was thrown from a northbound vehicle driven by his wife when she tried to avoid hitting a deer and the car rolled three times about 7:54 p.m. Sunday on I-15 about 20 miles south of Meadow, Millard County.

Aliu was thrown from the southbound car in which he was a passenger. That accident occurred about 3:38 a.m. Monday, three miles north of Parowan on I-15. A car driven by Aliu's wife apparently drifted into the center median. The car over corrected into the center lane and rolled at least twice, a Utah Highway Patrol dispatcher said.

Desere Downward, 3, was in serious condition and Hazen Downward, 4, was in stable condition Monday morning. Pat Downward, 41, their mother, is in satisfactory condition at Cottonwood Hospital. Tracy Sisam, 23, Kearns, is in fair but stable condition at Pioneer Valley Hospital from the same accident.

Dana Thornock, 30, is listed in good condition at Fillmore Hospital Monday. At Primary Children's Medical Center, her son Riley, 3, is in serious condition while two brothers, Aaron, 9, and Tyson, 7, are in good condition. Another son Chase, 21 months, who was riding in an infant restraint seat, was uninjured. Only the mother and baby were wearing seat restraints and remained in the car.

Lanuola Aliu, 26, and her son, Joe, 21/2, were listed in stable condition Monday at Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City.

In another accident, Mitzi Folau, 52, Salt Lake, is in critical condition at LDS Hospital after she was thrown from a motorcycle that was struck from behind by a car. That accident occurred about 9:55 p.m. Friday.
