A Salt Lake woman was in critical condition Saturday with injuries suffered in a west side motorcycle-car collision.

Mitzi Folau, 52, 1390 W. 17th South, was a passenger on a motorcycle traveling west on California Avenue (13th South) when the bike collided with a car, a police report said.Folau, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown in the collision with a car driven by LeGrand W. Bawden, 67, the report said. Neither Bawden nor the driver of the motorcycle, Henry H. Folau, 25, were injured in the 9:55 p.m. Friday crash.

The two vehicles collided as the motorcycle was attempting to make a left turn onto Navajo Street and was struck behind by Bawden's vehicle, police reports said.

An investigation into the accident was continuing.

In a separate crash, a woman who apparently struck a car while riding her bicycle was in fair condition Saturday at University Hospital with broken bones and abdominal injuries.

Sgt. Ken Hansen said Anna Foster, 23, no address available, was cycling at 12th East and Sixth South about 10:15 p.m. Friday when she ran into a car traveling north.
