The Vietnam Era Veterans Memorial Committee Inc. is sponsoring an essay contest called "150 Words Together."

The winning entry will be placed on the main plaque of the Utah Vietnam Era Veterans Memorial, to be dedicated on the south side of the State Capitol grounds on Veterans Day in November 1989.In 150 words the memorial committee wants participants to remember the Utahns who fought in Vietnam and the families who still wait after more than 20 years for MIAs.

Entries must be postmarked on or before April 15 and sent to Vevmac, P.O. Box 148, Provo, UT 84603. Entries should be double-spaced. A separate sheet should include the entrant's name, address and phone number and the reason they entered.

The winner will receive a family trip to Disneyworld, including lodging. The committee requests a minimum contribution of $10 per entry, but the contribution is not mandatory.
