James D. Evans, 24, and Stacy Ray Peterson, 21, both of Price, were sentenced Tuesday by 7th District Judge Boyd Bunnell to serve 10 years to life in Utah State Prison in connection with the death of Gary B. Webb.

Both had previously pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and had undergone several months of psychiatric evaluation.Evans received a 5-year-to-life sentence on the murder charge and the same sentence for aggravated robbery, to which he had also previously pleaded guilty.

Peterson received one sentence of 10 years to life on the second-degree murder charge.

The charges stem from the March 3, 1988, shooting death of Webb, a 30-year-old Price resident.
