A single-engine T-28 military training plane finishing a loop at the Valiant Air Command Air Show crashed Friday, killing the pilot, authorities said.
The pilot was identified as Anthony Zienecki, 48, of Cocoa Beach. He was flying alone.The plane, vintage 1954 or 1955, crashed and exploded at 1:42 p.m., said Joan Heller, a Brevard County sheriff's spokeswoman. It occurred near runway No. 9, at the Space Center Executive Airport, well away from the hundreds of spectators, she said.
