Heidi Dahlgren, who skied for the Utes in the NCAA Ski Championships last week in Jackson Hole, Wyo., finished third, and teammate Gillian Frost, a freshman for the Utes, was seventh. Frost has the fastest second run of 63 racers from all over the world, and Dahlgren the second-fastest second run.Former Ute Sonja Stotz, who graduated last year and is now skiing for West Germany, finished 12th.
Winning the event was Natasa Bokal of Yugoslavia, with a two-run time of 1:29.31 and second was Monica Borsotti of Italy, in 1:29.55. Dahlgren's time was 1:29.89 and Frost's time 1:31.20. Another Utah skier, Alexandra Von Wichman, fell on her second run.
Of the nine U.S. skiers selected for the team, four came from the U., two from Colorado, two from Middlebury and one from Wyoming. Scheduled to compete in the downhill is Salt Lake's Sondra Van Ert.
