Utah State University is offering several scholarships this summer for undergraduates studying space research, with up to $2,000 provided for equipment and travel.
The summer research assistantship awards are provided by the National Science Foundation. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled as undergraduates. Applications will be accepted through April 15.Winners of the awards will attend an eight-week space science workshop June 19 through Aug. 11 at USU.
They will work with faculty members and other students in areas such as design and fabrication of Get Away Special experiments, space plasma physics, planetary atmospheres, space biology, space engineering and remote sensing.
