The Juab School District doesn't anticipate many problems with asbestos in the air of schools because most of the buildings are fairly new.

Kirk Wright, superintendent, said Juab School District does not have a trainer who has received instruction in dealing with asbestos. "We will use a trainer from another district to do our inspection," said Wright. The person must be accredited and able to train the district staff and conduct a comprehensive and managerial plan. The district must then initiate a plan to deal with the substance in order to meet regulations. Both North Sanpete and Nebo School districts have trained a person, and Juab School District will hire one of them.
