To the editor:

My staff and I would like to take this opportunity to say "thank you" to the people of Utah for the tremendous response to our Year of the Dinosaur project. While raising money for the museum was a consideration in the planning of the year's events, our primary goal was to increase public awareness of the Utah Museum of Natural History throughout the state. We feel successful beyond our wildest expectations. Approximately 300,000 Utahns (and out-of-state guests) visited the museum in 1988.

We would also like to thank the many Utah individuals, foundations, and corporations who provided financial and in-kind support for the project. Without thisoutside assistance, we would never have been able to undertake such a large-scale exhibition as Dinamation. And, of course, we thank the Utah media for its generous coverage of our activities and for assistance in providing information to the public.

We have a diverse and exciting schedule of exhibits, classes, field trips, lectures, and special events lined up for 1989. We fervently hope that all who became acquainted with museum last year will joint our regular supporters in participating.
