The future of postal service facilities in Lynndyl will be determined by studies now under way by the U.S. Postal Service. Community residents will also get a chance to make suggestions.

Postal studies will include investigation of various alternatives, including continued use of the present facility, using another existing building or constructing a new one. It would appear that the needs are for a small building with 300 to 500 square feet of interior space, providing adequate parking.Post officials said they are reviewing growth factors, size requirements, potential locations, local traffic and geographical, topographical and environmental conditions.

A letter has been sent to Mayor Alan Nielson asking for local suggestions, with an offer by federal postal officials to meet with local representatives to review preliminary plans.
