That yucky, dirty snow is finally receding from the front lawn, and hardware stores are touting mowers instead of snow blowers. Can summer be far away?

And . . . speaking of summer . . . it's time to start thinking about the Deseret News Arts & Entertainment section's annual Summer Theater Calendar - a comprehensive list of professional, amateur, community, touring, etc., theatrical productions throughout the state.If you're involved with theater, we'd like to hear from you.

What we need is: titles, all-inclusive dates (opening/closing), name of theater company, location of the performances, and (for our own information) names and phone numbers of those in charge of publicizing the various plays and musicals.

We don't have a specific date for the calendar yet, but it will probably run sometime during May. For our purposes, "summer theater" is comprised of those shows scheduled during June, July and August (with some dates trickling over into September, although that's when we'll be running our other big list - the 1989-90 theater calendar.
