The Scholar in Residence Program of Congregation Kol Ami will sponsor a lecture by Jakob J. Petuchowski, a writer and professor of Judeo-Christian relations at Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion in Ohio.

The topic will be "The Torah, the Rabbis and the Early Church," and his address will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at Congregation Kol Ami, 2425 E. Heritage Way. The public is invited.Petuchowski, a native of Berlin, is an honors graduate of the University of London and received his rabbinic ordination, masters and doctoral degrees from Hebrew Union College. He has served as a visiting professor at Harvard Divinity School, Oxford University in England, Theologische Fakultat Luzern in Switzerland, and Tel-Aviv University in Israel.
