Rep. Wayne Owens, D-Utah, says he has received numerous complaints from Utahns who received unsolicited and explicit ads for X-rated videos - and who feel their addresses were obtained from subscription lists of popular magazines.

So Owens has introduced legislation that would allow people receiving such indecent ads to force the senders to disclose where they obtained the addresses."My legislation will help force magazine publishers to use greater discretion in selling their lists, a common practice in today's world of direct-mail advertising," Owens said in a statement on the House floor.
