BYU split a doubleheader Wednesday in the Icebreaker Tournament, losing the opener to Grand Canyon College, 10-9 and defeating Southern Utah State, 10-5, in the second game.

The Cougars lost to GCC in six innings because of the time limit, although BYU shortstop Jeff Howes hit a three-run homer in the third inning.In the nightcap, BYU, now 5-2, had two players each with a pair of doubles, Randy Wilstead and Devin Kunz.
