Sunshine Too, a professional theater company from Rochester, N.Y., will perform at Brigham Young University Monday (March 6) at 6 p.m. in the Pardoe Drama Theatre.
The ensemble uses three hearing-impaired and three hearing performers to present a show in both sign language and voice. Music, mime, story telling and dance are incorporated into the presentations.For the BYU performance, Sunshine Too will present "Stars in the Sky," a play based on a Scottish folktale. The show is suitable for preschool through fifth-grade and family audiences.
Each year Sunshine Too offers more than 700 performances and workshops. Since its first tour in 1980, the group has performed for nearly 500,000 people plus national television audiences.
