The annual Ballet Ensemble of the University of Utah ballet department will take place in the Dance Building this weekend. Programs will be on Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m., and tickets are $5 or $2.50 for students and senior citizens, at the door.

Highlighting the program will be a classic pas de deux by Attila Ficzere, set to music from Verdi's "Sicilian Vespers." Ficzere, long a member of the San Francisco Ballet, has joined the U. ballet department faculty. He will also conduct a class lecture-demonstration, based on the renowned Vaganova method of training featured at the Kirov school, which he learned as a young dancer in Hungary.Completing the program will be a group ballet titled "Dance of the Dream Collectors" by Gunild Pak, with music from Terry Riley's musical score of the same name.
