A transient has been ordered to stand trial on April 17 for the stabbing death of an Ogden man outside a 25th Street bar last fall.
Samuel Estrada, 29, pleaded not guilty Wednesday before 2nd District Judge David Roth to a charge of second-degree murder.Estrada is accused of killing Victor M. Chavez, 33, after an argument. Chavez was stabbed several times and his throat was cut outside Pancho's Bar on Sept. 21.
Estrada was apprehended last month in the Southern Pacific Railroad yards in Ogden. He remains in the Weber County Jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
