Manon Rheaume won pro hockey's first all-female goaltending showdown as the New Jersey Rockin Rollers beat Erin Whitten and the Pittsburgh Phantoms 10-7 in a Roller Hockey International game.

"It wasn't the match between me and Erin," Rheaume told New York Newsday after her 24-save performance in Tuesday night's game. "It was the match between the Rockin Rollers and the Phantoms. . . . The players played great in front of me. They made my job easier."Whitten, who made 41 saves, also downplayed the individual battle.

"I'm trying to get it into people's minds that it's not really us against each other," said Whitten, a native of Glens Falls, N.Y. "We just want to play and have a good time out there."
