National Weather Service meteorologist William J. Alder said rain showers are likely again Thursday, although the temperature will still reach about 50. By late Thursday and Friday, a few inches of snow are expected in some valley locations and heavy snow in the mountains. Temperatures should reach 40 on Friday, and improved conditions are forecast for Saturday. Temperatures in the mid-70s were forecast for the St. George area Wednesday and near 70 Thursday, with rain showers Thursday and Friday.
