Gary L. Anderson, a 22-year employee with Peat Marwick Main & Co., has been appointed senior vice president for finance and chief financial officer of Zions Bancorp.
Anderson resumed responsibilities of corporate finance, financial accounting and reporting, financial planning and budgeting, strategic planning support, human resources, investor relations, internal audit and credit examination on Monday, Harris S. Simmons, Zions Bancorp. president, said.During his 22 years of service with Peat Marwick, Anderson was a partner of the company and its predecessor, KMG Main Hurdman, for 12 years. He also served on the Banking Committee of the American Institute of Public Accountants and was chairman of the AICPA National Banking Conference.
Anderson also served on the firm's Professional Standards Committee, Banking and Savings and Loan Committee and the Professional Development Committee. Anderson is a former chairman of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants' Continuing Professional Education Committee.
