Local grocers and manufacturers from across the nation are raising money for the Utah Easter Seal Society to help those with disabilities.

Through March 31, participating manufacturers will make a cash donation to the society based on sales. Last year they raised over $80,000 and the goal this year is $100,000. The money will stay in the state to help foster independence for those with disabilities. Examples of programs are equipment loan pools, equestrian therapy, public advocacy, respite care programs, stroke support groups and information and referral services.Participating stores include Albertson's, Thriftway, Bestway, Foodtown, Smith's, Day's, Food 4 Less, Harmon's, Macey's, IGA, Reams, Alpha Beta, Winegar's and Allen's Super Save. Participating products will be clearly marked.
