Rep. Donald Lukens denied any wrongdoing after being indicted on a misdemeanor charge that he had sex with a teenage girl.

Lukens, a Republican, was indicted Thursday by a Franklin County grand jury on a charge of contributing to the unruliness and delinquency of a child. The first-degree misdemeanor carries a maximum jail term of 180 days and a $1,000 fine. The charge resulted from an investigation prompted by a secretly videotaped meeting last November between Lukens and the girl's mother, who contended Lukens paid for sexual relations with her daughter on two occasions. One of those times allegedly was four years ago when the girl was 13.

The grand jury accused Lukens of having sexual intercourse with the girl on Nov. 6, when she was 16, in his Columbus apartment.
