Woodcuts, etchings, aquatints, mezzotints, and other printmaking techniques by Harry Taylor will be featured in the Upstairs Gallery of the Salt Lake Art Center from Feb. 24 through April 9. A reception is slated for Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the center.

Through his prints, Taylor transports viewers to cities around the world. Included in the show are a series of mezzotints depicting Venice at night. In them, he gives the viewer a sense of the unbelievable light of Venice.Taylor was art director of Ogden's Meridian Publishing Company from 1952 to 1983. His work is currently represented in two prestigious traveling exhibitions.
