For the next two months drivers using U.S. 189 in Provo Canyon may encounter delays because of construction, warns the Utah Department of Transportation.

Because of construction on the slope just below Frazier Park, rocks may be falling on the road, said Larry Buss, project engineer. To protect motorists and their vehicles, traffic will be halted when the construction is likely to interfere with traffic.Buss said delays should not last any longer than 15 to 20 minutes and will occur only during construction hours, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.
