Two trailers formerly used as training classrooms for Utah Power & Light Co. were destroyed in a fire Saturday at the Hale Power Plant at the mouth of Provo Canyon, according to the Department of Public Safety.

Wayne Barnes, plant foreman, said the fire caused $100,000 worth of damage to the Hale Plant but Olmsted Power Plant located next to it was never threatened by the fire. The Hale Plant has been closed for more that two years and the Olmsted Plant nearly a year and a half.There were no injuries and police are still searching for a cause.
