The Governor's Black Advisory Council needs two more members, and applications are being accepted at the Office of Black Affairs in the State Office Building behind the Capitol.

Betty Sawyer, Black Affairs director, said the council is especially interested in receiving applicants from the northern part of the state to help keep the board geographically balanced. She said, however, that applicants from all areas of the state are invited to apply. The council meets monthly and is involved with promoting and sponsoring programs and opportunities for Utah's black minorities.
