Prosecutors asked Tuesday that Rockwell International be fined $5 million for scheming to overcharge the government by nearly $450,000 for a satellite navigational system.

In a sentencing memorandum filed in U.S. District Court, the U.S. attorney's office asked a judge to impose a $5 million fine and order $446,000 restitution when the aerospace giant is sentenced Friday for conspiring to defraud the government and criminal contempt. The firm pleaded guilty Jan. 19.
