A suspended Ogden elementary school teacher pleaded no contest Thursday to allegations he sexually abused a female former student during a three-year period.
Second District Judge David Roth set a March 8 sentencing for Curtis G. Agren, 45, South Ogden. Under a no contest plea, Agren does not admit guilt to the child sex abuse allegations but faces the same sentencing as if he were convicted.Prosecutors said the girl, now age 9, told police the teacher had rubbed her through her clothing. The incidents occurred between Aug. 4, 1984, and June 15, 1987, detectives claimed.
Agren was suspended from his Ogden School District teaching job pending the outcome of the case.
