The Bountiful Redevelopment Agency will allow Ogden to use $1.64 million of its industrial revenue bond entitlement to help entice a light manufacturing firm to Ogden.

Voting Wednesday night, the redevelopment agency board said it will ask the state to transfer the entitlement to be combined with $3.4 million in industrial revenue bonds that Ogden will provide to attract the business.Bountiful City Manager Tom Hardy explained there is no pressing need for the city's revenue bond entitlement and that federal law will force an end to the program this December.

If Ogden uses Bountiful's entitlement, the city will retain about a $2 million allowance. The city will also bear no responsibility for bonding contracts Ogden may enter.
