The husband of a woman shot to death at their home Sunday has been charged with manslaughter.

A criminal complaint filed in 3rd Circuit Court accuses Darwin L. Thompson, 65, of recklessly causing the death of Beverly May Thompson, 62, who was struck in the chest with a shotgun blast about 11:20 p.m. Sunday at their home, 1062 W. Signora Drive. The complaint states that the couple had been "involved in a marital dispute," during which Thompson grabbed a 12-gauge shotgun and threatened suicide. Thompson told his wife to "come and get the gun and blow his head off so he did not have to," according to the complaint.

As he lifted it from his lap, the gun discharged, the document states.
