The Utah Symphony and the University of Utah Museum of Fine Arts are among 68 groups nationwide that have been selected to receive challenge grants from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The symphony will receive $300,000 and the museum $100,000. To get the federal money, the symphony will have to raise $900,000 in new contributions from non-government sources and the museum $300,000. The money must come from new donations or sources not used in the past.
