New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner was elected to one of the U.S. Olympic Committee's three vice presidential posts Saturday and said he would handle his duties differently than he does his tumultuous ball club.

The vote by the House of Delegates Saturday also re-elected William Tutt, a USOC vice president since 1985, and brought into office for the first time Mike Lenard, who had the support of the powerful Athlete's Advisory Council.
