Twenty pink, red and white flowering chestnut trees will be planted along the undeveloped property west of the Devereaux House, fund raisers for the historic landmark say.

Money for the trees was raised through the sale of a porcelain replica of the Devereaux House and an exhibition of antique furniture. A contribution of $1,500 has also been made for the planting of the trees.Fund-raisers Virginia Cameron and Vee Carlisle said the trees will provide shade in the summer and a profusion of flowers in the spring.
